I’m thrilled to step into the role of Vice President of Mission Alignment at VAST Data, a title that reflects my passion for connecting strategy with action, vision with execution, and technology with real world outcomes. With the launch of AIOS, VAST is redefining AI infrastructure by collapsing data silos and unifying storage, compute, and real time analytics into a single, intelligent platform. This isn’t just a technical breakthrough, it’s a strategic enabler for our customers, allowing them to move faster, smarter, and with less friction in building AI native applications. For me personally, wearing many hats has always been my passion, and VAST gives me the freedom to do exactly that, to operate across product, customer success, go-to-market, and long term strategy, all in service of a mission I deeply believe in: empowering the world’s most innovative organizations to unlock the full potential of their data.
The Big Idea: AI Infrastructure Needs a New Foundation
Today’s AI infrastructure is still largely stitched together with legacy thinking: disjointed storage, compute, databases, data lakes, data warehouses, ETL pipelines, and MLOps stacks, all bolted together in a brittle, expensive, and slow moving ecosystem.
VAST is turning that on its head.

VAST Data’s AI Operating System (AIOS) is uniquely positioned to support Agentic AI workloads, thanks to its foundational design that unifies storage, compute, and real time data processing in a single, intelligent platform. Unlike traditional architectures that struggle with the dynamic, iterative nature of autonomous AI agents, AIOS provides a coherent and consistent data plane that enables agents to perceive, plan, act, and learn at scale, without the latency, fragmentation, or complexity of siloed systems. Its serverless compute capabilities and deep integration with modern AI frameworks allow Agentic AI systems to access vast datasets in real time, make decisions on the fly, and continuously refine their behavior, all while maintaining performance and consistency across distributed environments. This makes VAST AIOS not just infrastructure, but an essential enabler for the next generation of intelligent, self directed AI systems.

As much as I was excited about the technology, what made this decision easy was the people.

Everyone I’ve met so far shares a deep respect for customers, a love for elegant problem solving, and an urgency to move fast, not just to compete, but to lead.

The world is changing fast. AI is no longer a sidecar , it’s becoming the engine. And as we race into this new era, legacy infrastructure just can’t keep up.
